Filter elements
Filter elements to drawing.
Custom metal filter elements made from media in our supply programme. Pleated, cylindrical, conical and basket designs are sized for your filter housing.
Averinox produces filter elements using woven, sintered and knitted media from its supply programme. Pleated cartridges provide a large filter area, candles suit high-pressure duties, and baskets and cones are used for catalyst retention and coarse filtration. V-wire elements offer a defined slot geometry with mechanical support.
Pleated elements use sintered metal-fibre fleece or sintered woven laminate. Their porosity and surface area provide dirt-holding capacity for polymer melts, hydraulic oil, waste water and hot gases. Depending on the medium and contamination, the elements can be cleaned and reused.
We make elements to drawing or assess replacements for existing installations. Worn or damaged elements can be refurbished if their condition permits. Filter housings can be engineered and supplied with the elements as a complete package.

Frequently asked questions
Can you replace elements from another manufacturer?
Usually, yes. Send the element or a drawing with key dimensions. We check the fit and assess a replacement medium for your process. Any proposed change to the medium is reviewed with you.
When is a pleated element worth it over a plain candle?
Pleating increases the filtration area within the same envelope. This can reduce ΔP and extend cleaning intervals when flow or dirt load determines the size. For low loads, a plain candle can be the simpler choice.
What do you need from us to quote an element?
Please provide the medium and its viscosity, required rating, flow and allowable ΔP, connections or OEM reference, and operating temperature and pressure. A drawing or worn sample helps us establish dimensions and connections; we also need the process conditions.
When do I need 0.5 µm instead of the standard 2 µm candle?
A 0.5 µm rating is considered when the process needs sub-micron filtration, for example ahead of fine spinnerets, for high-purity gas or in product-protection steps. Finer ratings can increase ΔP and cost. We assess the requirement before recommending a rating; values below 2 µm are confirmed per application with the product datasheet.
Do you refurbish elements from other suppliers?
Usually, yes. Elements are inspected, cleaned, re-welded where the medium allows and pressure-checked before return. When refurbishment stops being economical we say so, with an interchange quote next to the repair price.
