Why does my filter mesh blind within hours?

Differential pressure climbs far faster than the design curve. Cleaning intervals shrink from weeks to hours, and after each cleaning the recovery gets worse. Throughput drops while the pumps work harder.

Why do wire fragments appear downstream of my filter?

Fine wires or mesh fragments appear in downstream strainers and product samples. They may also reach pumps and nozzles. Filtration can appear to work while the damaged area allows increasing quantities of particles through.

Why is liquid carrying over past my demister pad?

Liquid droplets reach equipment downstream of the demister. Possible effects include fouled compressor blades, off-spec overhead product and pipe corrosion. Carry-over can occur even when the pad appears intact at inspection.

Why does my belt press cake stay too wet?

Dry-solids content falls over several weeks while polymer consumption rises. Slower belt speed may improve dewatering but reduces throughput. More water in the discharged cake increases transport weight and may raise disposal costs.

Why do my screens crack at the welds or deform under load?

Cracks form at welds or clamped edges of screen decks, baskets and support screens. Apertures in the loaded area can move out of tolerance and affect product quality. The same damage may return after repair.

Why is my 316L mesh pitting in brine or chloride service?

Small perforations and rust-brown spots appear on stainless mesh or filter elements. In warm chloride streams this can occur within months. Attack is often concentrated at crevices, clamped edges and welds while the surrounding material still looks bright.

The belt keeps failing at the seam

The belt splits at the seam after several weeks. After a new seam is fitted, the damage returns in the same place while the belt fabric remains intact.
