Spiral & filter belts
Belts and cloths for dewatering.
Synthetic spiral belts and filter cloths for belt presses, dewatering tables and filter presses: first-quality heat-set polyester, sized and sealed on site when needed.
Spiral belts, also called spiral fabric or link fabric, are used for mechanical liquid/solid separation. Applications include sludge dewatering in municipal and industrial plants, fruit pressing, and board and veneer production. Averinox develops and supplies belts made from first-quality heat-set polyester yarns for dimensional stability.
The belts consist of spirals joined by cross wires. Stuffer wires determine the open area. This construction provides a flat surface and allows the ends to be joined into an endless belt. On-site repairs are possible, depending on the damage and belt condition.
We also supply woven cloths for plate-and-frame and membrane filter presses. These mono- and multifilament fabrics in polypropylene, polyester and polyamide are thermo-fixed and laser-cut. Mono-multi satin combines strength with cake release and cleanability. Double-weave belts are available for belt, drum and disc filters.
Belt and cloth selection starts with your installation and sludge data. We review belt dimensions, seam and edge construction, washing conditions and measured feed and cake dry solids. The scope of supply and any support work are agreed after technical and capacity review; performance targets require application-specific data and test conditions.

Materials & variants
Standard belts are 100% first-quality polyester, heat-set for low elongation and shrinkage. Polypropylene and polyamide cloths cover chemical and abrasion extremes; metal spiral and woven belts are available where temperature rules out synthetics.
Frequently asked questions
Which psb type fits my belt press?
It depends on the sludge and the drainage profile you need: 15/50 for maximum strength and openness, 29/85 for finer retention, 21/66 in between. Send us the machine type and sludge data and we size it, or we measure on site.
Can a damaged belt be repaired instead of replaced?
Often, yes. We assess the damage and belt condition to determine whether an on-site seam repair is suitable. For urgent failures, available support is agreed after technical and capacity review. Support outside business hours is by arrangement.
What belt widths and lengths can you supply?
Widths up to 6 metres and standard lengths of 60 to 80 metres, made to size and, when needed, sealed on site. Send the machine type or the old belt's dimensions and we confirm the exact make-up.
Is polyester still the right choice at pH 9?
No. Heat-set polyester is rated for pH 2 to 8; above that, hydrolysis shortens belt life fast. For alkaline sludges we move to polyamide or polypropylene cloths, and to metal belts where temperature rules synthetics out entirely. State the pH and dosing chemicals in your RFQ.
Can you replace a belt inside a planned weekend stop?
We can plan measurement, belt preparation and installation or supervision around a weekend stop. Include the shutdown date in your enquiry. Feasibility and scheduling are confirmed after technical and capacity review.
