Decorative materials
Using the tradename IndustryMeetsDesign®, Averinox brings materials to market, in which esthetics and functionality are combined. IndustryMeetsDesign® is the bridge between various industries on the one hand and architects and designers on the other hand. An impression of materials can be found here after. The products which can be delivered – mainly based on metal plates & wire – are new or have not been used before for the intended designs and applications.
Whether it is a woven, knitted or plaited metal mesh or fabric, or a special ornament, (non) perforated panels or cables and bead curtains, all materials ensure quality, functionality, durability, excellent finishing and unique applications.
Metal is used in many different ways in the industry. This group of products is also very diverse for design purposes. The countless number of materials and combinations of elements we find here is in fact unlimited, both in terms of shape, form and structure and applications.
These are materials that stimulate the designer to develop innovative and original applications and solutions. For indoor and outdoor use, for decorative purposes or as ornamental building materials. With the numerous possibilities the imagination has extra play and modest creations turn into rare pieces of art.
Here below you can find an impression of our possibilities:
Woven Meshes
These fabrics and panels are unconventional materials that can be used for decorative purposes, indoors and outdoors. The fabrics are made from a wide range of raw materials. This varies from aluminium to galvanized copper wire and from stainless steel ‘yarns’ to combinations of metals. The wires and yarns vary in thickness. The materials entice the designer to use them in a creative and innovative way.
Well-known examples are complete furnishings of rooms, including walls, ceilings and partitions. All types of weaving that are technically possible are used for these materials, so that a very wide range of designs with different structures is realised. In particular the colours and the total ‘looks’ of the various fabrics ensure that the number of possible applications is virtually endless. Embellishment and extra decoration by means of digital printing techniques are possible.

Welded Mesh
Mesh composed of welded, intersecting wires and strips is probably one of the most frequently used materials. A characteristic aspect of these materials is that the wires are spot-welded at the intersections, which ensures a strong and rigid product. Many of these products are made of (non) galvanised steel or stainless steel.
The most obvious application of these materials is to use them as a support of constructions or as a finishing layer, a protective layer or as a cover. These materials can also be used for decorative purposes, of course. In many cases, the characteristics can be combined. Materials that are first of all used or functional purposes, can be attractive and colourful at the same time, naturally.
In general, wire mesh is made of round, twined, rectangular or v-shaped wires that are welded together. The material is available both in the form of flat panels and in the form of cylindrical constructions. Originally, many of the products were developed for the (petrochemical) industry.
It is extraordinary that today these products can be used for decorations and constructions as well, both by the architect and the stand builder, to decorate or give it the perfect finish, and by furniture manufacturers, who can use it as a basic material for tabletops or lighting elements, to name a few. These materials, which were initially made as heavy-duty materials for the industrial sector, are excellent to be used for applications that have a more decorative function. The reliability of these products guarantees durable articles of everyday use. There are more unexpected examples of original designs that could never have been realised without these industrial materials.

Mesh Belts
Originally, these materials were used in various branches of the industrial sector. Two examples are conveyor belts and filter gauzes. Wire & Cable Meshes are made of woven, stainless steel, metal or coated carbon threads that are joined together in a different way than the woven or knitted materials.
The materials can be constructed from massive (mono filament) or twined (multi filament) threads. Another way to produce the materials is connecting spiral shaped metal wires or cables. Combinations of these sturdy and mesh-like structures can simply be used as decorative ‘fabrics’ for all sorts of decorative applications, like detachable or collapsible partitions between rooms or wall and/or ceiling coverings and wainscoting.
By using additional colour schemes and designs, not only the number of possible applications will increase, but these products will also be more appealing.

Perforated Plates
There is a wide range of plate materials, there is a large variety of metals used and the finish of the materials is excellent. Most of these materials are mechanically perforated and stretched metal plates.
The materials are robust and durable and have a similar look. At the same, the materials can be used as excellent basic material for decorative solutions. It is often the combination of aesthetic and constructional aspects that is the decisive factor for choosing such products. The material can be folded, bent, welded, cut and punched.
Staircases, banisters, wall and ceiling coverings, radiator covers and floors, the possibilities are endless. It is also possible to add colours, shapes, text and logos by means of various printing techniques, for durable added-value of the product.

Drapery Products
Draperies, curtains, wall coverings, available in all shapes, colours and materials. Basically, it is possible to cover walls or ceilings with any fabric you choose, to filter light coming from a window or to create partitions in large rooms. Especially our woven, light-metal wire products are in great demand.
The materials both look soft and attractive and at the same time they are strong and durable. This means that the possibilities are endless. Special effects and a good atmosphere can be created very easily when the right material is chosen for the application.
The usually luxuriant look of these pliable products makes interiors even more attractive and when used at showrooms and in shop-windows, it will make sure that the displayed articles are shown to advantage. There is a wide range of these decorated, metal meshes and they are produced in a large number of combined materials and fabrics.

Chains
Apart from the ‘curtaining’ of woven materials mentioned earlier, there is also the possibility of creating partitions made of more or less separately suspended metal bead chains. Here we can also choose from a wide range of chains and a large variety of colours, materials, beads and other ornamental shapes to be used.
By using these products in the right way, only a minimum of materials is needed to create a certain atmosphere in an easy and effective way or to create the idea of partitioning walls. The decorative and often very colourful materials give the designer an easy tool to create an environment with character.
